Al meer dan 30 jaar prijkt er een borstbeeld van Willem Jansen in het perkje bij de Kerkbuurt in Westzaan. Vorig jaar raakte de stichting in gesprek met beeldhouwer Kees Koeman uit Heiloo, een liefhebber van het werk van de Jansens. Koeman heeft via zijn ouders de Jansens indertijd gekend, en Chris heeft ook enige weken bij hen gelogeerd. De bijzondere belevenissen hiervan worden ook in de biografie beschreven. Geheel belangeloos bood Koeman aan om, aan de hand van het beschikbare fotomateriaal, een borstbeeld van Chris te maken. Een model in klei van dit beeld is  tijdens de boekpresentatie bij galerie Staphorsius onthuld.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
